Your Role
The Service Ambassador plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding member experiences within the club by utilizing various tools and platforms across multiple areas, including the service/reception area, exercise floor, studios, swimming facilities, and lounge areas. This position is essential for engaging members with all club offerings, both in-person and online, and contributes to member retention through consistent interaction and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Front of House Operations
- Manage access to the facility
- Provide information and assistance to staff, members, and potential members
- Ensure a seamless experience for members from entry to exit
- Comply with operational standards and administrative policies
Member Engagement
- Deliver top-notch customer service throughout the club to meet NPS and member sentiment score objectives
- Encourage digital engagement with members as our online offerings develop
- Introduce members to personalized online or digital exercise options tailored to their individual needs
- Foster member retention
- Cultivate strong relationships with members
- Address and resolve member complaints or incidents
- Encourage participation in fitness initiatives and events to boost member retention
Enhancing the Member Experience on the Floor
- Promote safe exercise practices
- Ensure members adhere to club rules and standards
- Enforce safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness on the exercise floor
- Engage in Continuous Training and Personal Development
Requirements
- A Grade 12 Senior Certificate or NQF Level 4 equivalent
- Successful completion of Reception Academy
- A solid understanding of digital platforms
- In-depth knowledge of Virgin Active exercise offerings
- A comprehensive grasp of the customer journey and the ideal customer experience
- Familiarity with club rules, operational standards, and safety protocols
- At least 12 months of experience in a customer-facing role.
